هنر طراحى جلد بسيار حساس و دقيق است. هيچ فرمول دقيق و حساب شده‌اى را براى آن نخواهيد يافت. بعضى از طرح جلدها بسيار پيچيده، مبهم و رمزآلود به نظر مى‌رسند و بعضى ديگر كاملا شفاف طرح و مفهوم خود را بر سر مخاطب فرياد مى‌كشند. اين كه ياد بگيريم چگونه يك جلد بى‌نقص و كامل و تأثيرگذار طراحى كنيم نياز به تمرين، عشق و استقامت دارد، ضمن اینکه باید تمايل شديد داشته باشيد يك كار برجسته و متفاوت داشته باشيد.
ما مى‌دانيم كه نبايد يك كتاب را از روى جلد و ظاهر آن قضاوت كنيم! اما نگاه كردن اين مجموعه را شديداً توصيه مى‌كنيم.از آن جهت كه بانگاه وانتخاب نشرياتى كه الگوى طراحى وگرافيك هستند بيشتر آشنا مى شويم و با مقايسه قرار دادن ديدگاه هايمان نسبت به آن نتايجى به دست مى آوريم. ١۸ طراحى جلد كه درسال ٢٠١٤ طراحى و ارائه شده‌اند و توسط تيم نشريه Print انتخاب شده اند را با هم ببینیم.
